“I believe artists should network with their peers, and be afforded the opportunities to collaborate with each other and grow their careers. My history with social marketing and design has fueled me to develop workshops for team-building that promote the visual arts, engage talent and deliver corporate messages. I know people love the idea of being an artist and I’ve created art experiences that enable them to explore their creativity and the life of an artist. Art is critical and a powerful tool for living.”
“Live the power of art” is studio k2’s vision for:
• artists to create, collaborate and lift each other up;
• art experiences to encourage individuals to explore their creativity;
• collectors and art-enthusiasts to support the arts;
• business collaborations that offer mutual support; and
• team-building events for companies that will engage talent, and deliver corporate messages.
Art lives up to all of those promises and studio k2 has the passion, talent, and vision to deliver them.
Hamilton is making great strides to advance creative industries and contributes significantly to the Ontario arts culture and industry sector. Ideally positioned in the Golden Horseshoe, Hamilton is fast becoming a convenient, “happening” destination for the arts. The ever-expanding arts-vibe clearly demonstrates that the studio can serve artists, individuals, collectors and businesses with the services and opportunities offered for each of these groups.
Day-tripping to see the colours this fall? studio k2 is a great destination to take a break from the QEW and see the colours our art offers. The studio is open to the general public (free admission) with current safety stage protocols in place. [Virtual tours of the exhibition and an intro to studio k2 are also available by appointment.]

karen klucowicz bio : artist/owner, studio k2
Karen Klucowicz is a Canadian artist known for working with nude figures in various levels of abstraction, intimacy and bold compositions of colour, represented by Raven Art Gallery in the Niagara region. Her art focuses on the strength of individuals and how that strength affects relationships.
Klucowicz established studio k2 in April, 2020. Although the pandemic hit hard, she demonstrates the resilience and creativity of artists moving forward to engage and grow the studio. The studio is the realization of her vision to share her passion for art and her belief that art has great power to enable communication, heal and grow individuals. With an extensive background in marketing, advertising and interior design Karen has created a studio plan to share her passion for art and collaborate with other artists to grow.
studio k2 moves her entrepreneurial spirit to new levels and brings her concepts together under one roof. studio k2 will advance other artists’ careers, grow the arts culture with artists, corporations and individuals to experience the joy of creating through workshop and retreat offerings.

“...I think that the world is always starving for something that brings them satisfaction on a deeper level in a materialist society. There for I take recycled material, which is considered worthless, and unleash the potential in it, by molding it to match my thoughts...”
jessica brown, post-impressionist artist, hamilton
“...I’ve always thought of myself as an old soul; I often feel out of time with my generation. I’m drawn to stories from the 1930s, and architecture from the 19th century. That is where I feel at home, and it is the romance and mystery of this era that my paintings evoke...”
emma enright, textile artist, hamilton, on
“...Upon personal reflections when using a loom, a transformative reaction takes place. The pushing and pulling movement translates into a metaphor for the repetitive nature of daily life. My collection of work embodies these concepts...”
steven kenny, pen & ink artist, hamilton, on
“Through this highly stylized method of drawing, I am able to convey narratives to the viewer, providing them stories both old and new under the guise of a traditional inker from a different age. By committing to methods of drawing that seem “outdated”, I am able to provide visual experiences to the audience that are newer and current...”
karen klucowicz, figurative artist, hamilton, on
“Painting is thinking out loud on canvas. I believe there is no better way to demonstrate strength, relationship challenges, options and results, than to strip away ideas of an individual and reveal the character of being. ... To that end, I work with body-positive images, (and) flesh tones that are not based on anyone’s reality...”
manuela moldovan, mixed-media artist, toronto, on
“I feel deeply connected with our mother nature; it is very dynamic, with unexpected energy and vibration...”
