what's in a logo?

who am I, why am I here, where am I going?

Not going there (my personal paintings are more philosophical than a logo needs to be)! A logo represents an idea, an idea turns in to a plan, a business needs to be identifiable.
There are many elements that come in to building a logo. In a past life I used to brand manage campaigns and create company id’s so that people would recognize the company and, in turn, the concept. It’s much more difficult to do it for your own company ! However, after this painful process studio k2’s logo has arrived.
Among the ideas I bring to this logo are:
. art has a foundation;
. ideas are meant to be exchanged;
. direction is critical.

. direction is critical.
These thoughts represent the concepts behind studio k2. I boiled them down to a presentation of the basic elements of design. The circle, the square, and the triangle. In these shapes you have the cornerstones to design - strength, direction, stability and infinity. Combined with a name mark it projects the feel of the operation.
In it’s simplicity this identity is memorable, in it’s complexity and through consistency and branding, it will reinforce the studio philosophy and vision to live the power of art.
